The Project NEXT 2025 Patch (Sept 17) introduces a new hero Obsidia, a full rework for Alice, multiple buffs/nerfs across heroes, a major map overhaul, and a complete rework of Roaming Equipment. It also adds Ranked Season 38, revamped achievements and highlights, a new 1v1 mode (Oct 9), and broad system/UI optimizations with bug fixes. The Project NEXT Patch 2025 for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was released on September 17, 2025 (Server Time), bringing significant changes across heroes, battlefield mechanics, equipment, and system features. This annual update includes a major map change, a rework of Roaming Equipment, and introduces a new hero while revamping another. Here's a breakdown of the key updates: I. New & Revamped Heroes New Hero: Sovereign of Dark's End - Obsidia (Abyss Marksman) Feature: Enhances her weapon by collecting Bone Shards. Passive - Return to Bone: Accumulates Bone Shards from attacking enemies, granting extra damage. Skill 1 - Abyssal Bone Needle: Fires a needle, triggering her passive on the first enemy hero hit. Skill 2 - Phantom Shadowmeld: Enters a Shadowmeld Form, gaining 500% Movement Speed for a short duration. Ultimate - Hunt of Bone: Launches Bones of Wrath, pulling Obsidia near the hit enemy. She becomes tethered, preventing her and the enemy from using displacement skills, and the enemy's movement drags Obsidia. During this, she ignores obstacles and gains an enhanced Skill 2 with longer duration and shorter cooldown. Revamped Hero: Queen of Blood - Alice (Abyss Queen) Feature: A powerful late-game hero focused on domination. Passive - Crimson Banquet: Gains stacks when skills hit. When fully stacked, Blood Banquet activates, continuously dealing damage and recovering HP to nearby enemies. Skill 1 - Crimson Gleam / Scarlet Shadow: Casts a blood sphere dealing Magic Damage. Can be re-cast to teleport to the sphere's location. Skill 2 - Doom Waltz: Deals damage and slows enemies in range. Deals additional damage and recovers HP when Crimson Banquet is active. Ultimate - Throne of Ruin: Alice surrounds herself in blood, gaining significant Damage Reduction during channeling. Upon completion, she descends, dealing Magic Damage and immobilizing enemies in a large area. II. Hero Adjustments Angela (↑ Buff) Goal: Enhance support role, increase Ultimate usage and efficiency. Passive: Added stack indicator for Movement Speed; fixed Ultimate not triggering passive. Skill 1: Cooldown increased from 6s to 7s (↓ Nerf). Skill 2: Cannot target minions (creeps and heroes only); added effective range indicator and immobilization countdown. Ultimate: Base Shield reduced (↓ Nerf); Cooldown significantly reduced from 70s to 20s (↑ Buff), starting when detaching; added protection against accidental cancellation; removed skill cooldown reset; optimized auto-targeting for low HP allies in combat. Floryn (↓ Nerf) Goal: Simplified Flower of Hope sharing, added Ultimate HP display; reduced CC and shield for balance. Passive: Sharing method simplified to drag-and-drop; Shield value reduced. Skill 2: Stun Duration reduced from 0.7s to 0.5s. Ultimate: Displays real-time HP info for allies below 60% health. Bane (↑ Buff) Goal: Less reliance on Gold, more early/mid-game impact; strengthened Skill 2; improved Ultimate's threat. Skill 2: Base damage adjusted, but Charged Damage Multiplier increased from 150% to 250%; Charge Time reduced; fixed progress bar accuracy. Ultimate: Foreswing time reduced; Sharks' Movement Speed increased; Airborne Duration increased; knockback effect removed, but slow effect improved; damage scaling adjusted. Thamuz (↑ Buff) Goal: Increased power, improved Lava Energy trigger, faster Ultimate transformation. Passive: Mechanics adjusted to increase Lava Energy trigger chance; True Damage calculation adjusted. Skill 1: Optimized Scythes collision detection, moves faster, drags back. Skill 2: Optimized casting experience and visual effects. Ultimate - Cauterant Inferno: Foreswing time greatly reduced, gains full Rage upon transformation; Max HP and Max HP Bonus adjusted; Attack Speed Boost increased. Silvanna (↑ Buff) Skill 2: Can now only be interrupted by high-level Crowd Control. Chip (↑ Buff) Attribute: Physical Defense Growth increased. Skill 1: Marks can now be applied to minions and creeps. Kimmy (↓ Nerf) Basic Attack: Increased interval between Basic Attacks when continuously tapping the button. Cici ( ~ Adjustment) Basic Attack: Optimized splash range to match visual effects. III. Battlefield Adjustments Annual Map Change (Live September 17, 2025): Availability: Classic, Custom (excluding Brawl), MLBB Rising Open, professional tournaments, Practice. Mechanics: Randomized battlefield effect per match, notified after matchmaking and during hero selection. Gameplay Overview: Broken Walls: Thinned/broken obstacles for easier traversal. Dangerous Grass: Extended and new bushes for ambushes. Flying Cloud: Two clouds at Base for faster lane return or flanking. Expanding Rivers: Wider and longer accelerated River Current, also generated by Lord spawn/death. Map Update: "The Imperial Sanctuary" map removed; focus on "Sanctum Island" with limited-time featured maps. IV. Equipment Adjustments Roaming Blessing (Reworked) Goal: Increase roaming role impact and gold generation, add non-roamer restrictions. Unique Passive - Devotion: No Gold/EXP sharing with allies from minions/creeps, but gains 40% Gold/EXP independently. Revealing "vision lost units" grants 20 Gold, 40 EXP (max 2000 Gold from this skill). Only triggers for the lowest gold roamer. New: First 5 minutes, Roaming Boots users get 50% income clearing minions alone. Unique Passive - Thriving: Gains 6 Gold, 12 EXP every 5 seconds (Gold and 18 EXP after 8 minutes), only for the lowest gold roamer. Unique Passive - Blessing: Unlocks a roaming skill after gaining 1000 Gold from Devotion and Thriving. Dire Hit (↑ Buff): Trigger condition simplified (dealing damage instead of controlling enemy); Damage based on target's Max HP standardized to 12%; allies can now see damage numbers. Conceal (~ Adjustment): Speed Boost standardized to 40%. Favor (~ Adjustment): HP Regen standardized to 400. Encourage (~ Adjustment): Hybrid Attack Boost standardized to 20; Attack Speed Boost reduced from 15% to 10% (↓ Nerf). Other: Roaming Boots cannot be purchased after 2 minutes; in Ranked, roaming lane heroes can only purchase Roaming Blessing boots. Movement Equipment (~ Adjustment) Goal: Optimize build paths, standardize prices to 720 gold. Magic Boots (↑ Buff): +150 Max HP; new build path includes Hero's Ring. Arcane Boots (↑ Buff): +15 Magic Power; new build path includes Mystery Codex. Rapid Boots (~ Adjustment): Reduced Movement Speed reduction upon entering combat (25 >> 20). Athena's Shield (↑ Buff) Unique Passive - Shield: Now only triggered by Magic Damage from hero skills or Basic Attacks, but still reduces all Magic Damage after being triggered. Blade Armor (~ Adjustment) Attribute: Physical Defense increased from 70 to 80. Unique Passive - Bladed Armor: Damage formula adjusted to balance against different attack types. V. Battlefield Adjustments (Gold & Jungling) Gold (↑ Buff for disadvantaged team) Goal: Limit leading team's economic advantage, aid comebacks. Passive Income: "Gold gained every 2 seconds" after 8 minutes increased from 6 to 8. Minions: Gold gained reduced by 12.5%. Creeps: Gold gained reduced by 7.5%. Jungling Optimizations (↑ Buff for Junglers) Goal: Reduce accidental buff steals. New Mechanism: In the first 2 minutes, if a buff creep in the allied Jungle Area is killed while a nearby ally with Retribution recently dealt damage, the buff is granted to that Retribution user. Other Adjustments: Enhanced UI display for Crowd Control effects. New skill duration timer for crucial persistent skills. Medal Points calculation now includes active healing and control performed by Support and Tank heroes. Optimized art resources for Thamuz, Terizla's Skill 2, Dyrroth, and Sun's Doppelganger. VI. System Adjustments - I (Ranked, Seasonal Pursuit, Achievement) Ranked Mode: S37 ended 09/16 (Server Time); S38 began 09/17 (Server Time). S38 Rewards: Valentina "Grand Gala" Seasonal Skin and "Abyss Reborn" Avatar Border. Seasonal Pursuit: Highlight System: Notifies allies of impressive performances with 16 new highlight types (e.g., Perfect Shot, Superb Tanking, Epic Outplay, Lord Slayer). Season Achievement System: Six season styles with exclusive honor rewards; Unique Style Plate (earned via Style Points and Level); Multiple showcase options (match start, highlights, profile); Exclusive Seasonal Painted Skin for first upgrade. Achievement System (Revamped): Global Completion Rates for achievements, categories, and overall. Separate section for Limited Achievements. Expanded Achievement Leaderboards to global. Customizable Achievement Showcase (up to 5 badges). VII. System Adjustments - II MLBB Rising Open: New season started 09/15 (warm-up week). Match confirmation time extended to 30s. Knockout stage allows exchanging MLBB Rising Open Challenge Attempts. Optimized red dot notifications and added practical signals. In-match Quick Communication (Upgraded): New Trigger Signals for seamless team coordination. Features: Opening Encouragement (fist bump, cheering voice lines); Resource Gaining Cooperation (Roaming/Mid vision and enemy Jungler info in first 60s); Hero Status Reminder (auto-triggers low HP/mana signals); Battlefield Situation Notification (auto-triggers for Mid Missing, Lord killed). Share Feature (Optimized): Optimized match result process and sharing. Battle Achievement interface now customizable (3D models/skin portraits) and displays up to 7 achievements. 10-player results interface includes additional statistics and honors. Rank-up sharing includes season match count/win rate; MRO interface shows championship date. Now supports sharing to TikTok. Other Adjustments: Teammate Mythic star count displayed in Lobby. Optimized graphic performance of "Like All" button. VIII. Bug Fixes Fixed issues with Nana's Molina Smooch interrupting Camouflage, Fanny's Skill 2 being interrupted by Suppress, Gatotkaca's enhanced Basic Attack animation, Ice Queen Wand's multi-hero slow, Valentina's skills after stealing Akai's Ultimate, Thamuz's Skill 1 visual effects with Yin's Ultimate, Hylos's Ultimate effects upon death, Zetian's Skill damage to minions, Chat Bubble text obscuring, and the Hero Adjustment feature disappearing. IX. Game Modes 1VS1 Mode (New - Available October 9, 2025): Victory Conditions: First to eliminate opponent 3 times OR destroy their Turret. Pick & Ban: Both sides ban 3 heroes, then select 1. Pacing: Significantly increased EXP and Gold gain rates. Access: Custom section on Main Interface to create or join lobbies.
